How to Use Extex
1. Install Extension
Download and install the Extex extension from Chrome Web Store:
2. Open Coursera Course
- • Go to Coursera
- • Navigate to any course page where you want to use automation
3. Sign Up via Extension
- • Click on the Extex extension icon in your Chrome toolbar
- • The signup form will appear with your name and email auto-filled from your Coursera profile
- • Enter a password of your choice
- • Click Sign Up
Note: If name/email don't auto-fill, click the extension icon again or refresh the course page.
4. Login to Extex Website
- • Visit the Extex Login page
- • Login using the same email from your Coursera account and the password you created
- • After successful login, you'll be redirected to the dashboard
5. Purchase Credits/Plan
- • On the website dashboard, navigate to Plans section
- • Choose a plan that suits your needs
- • Complete the payment to get credits
- • Your credits will be added to your account
6. Start Automation
- • Go back to your Coursera course page
- • Navigate inside a module (week/section)
- • Click on the Extex extension icon
- • Select the task/item you want to automate (Videos, Quizzes, Readings, Discussions, or Plugins)
- • The extension will automatically complete the selected task
- • Credits will be deducted based on the task type
Tips & Best Practices
- • Stay on Course Page: Keep the Coursera course tab active while automation is running
- • Check Credits: Monitor your credit balance before starting automation
- • One Task at a Time: Let one task complete before starting another
- • Stable Internet: Ensure you have a stable internet connection
- • Course Progress: The extension works best when you're inside a specific module/week
Troubleshooting
Extension Icon Not Showing?
Make sure you installed the extension properly. Pin it to your toolbar (Click puzzle icon → Pin Extex) and refresh the browser.
Name/Email Not Auto-Filling?
Ensure you're logged into Coursera and on a course page (not homepage). Refresh the page and click extension icon again.
Login Issues?
Verify you're using the correct email (same as Coursera). Reset password if forgotten or clear browser cache and try again.
Automation Not Working?
Check if you have enough credits. Ensure you're inside a module/week (not just on course homepage). Make sure the page is fully loaded and try refreshing if needed.
